Absent

Gosh I have been away from this blog for some time - I didn't realise just how long!!!

I have been working for the past two weeks in the Nursery - which is good for the bank balance - but bad for scrapping time! I have now got three mornings a week until the end of term, so things should get a bit less crazy - well maybe!!

I have also been back to the gym today, for the first time since January. Feeling a bit tired and sore but not too bad.

It was my turn for the challenge over at Faith Scrappers Challenge blog. The character this week was Samson.

Skipping

Sometime last year I started doing LOs based on Elsie Flannigan's book 52 Scrapbooking Challenges. I didn't get very far, but have decided to try again and see how far I get. This LO is based on Challenge 8: group four photos together. The photos are of Andrew on summer holiday in 2007 when he decided to take up skipping. The paper and words are from scraps.

The bass guitar arrived today! Think I will need to start playing music again to drown out the beat!!!

15 and Taller Than Me!

Today is John's 15th birthday! We decided that I couldn't quite fit 15 candles onto the cake so we settled for 7. He is now taller than me!

He had asked for money for his birthday and is putting it all together to buy -- a bass guitar!!!! What have I let myself in for - I hope it comes with headphones!

Zacchaeus

It was my turn to do the challenge for Journey with God's People this week over at FaithscrappersUK Challenge Blog, you can find it here.

Andrew is now safely home from Scripture Union camp, he thoroughly enjoyed it and wants to go back next year. He was at Lendrick Muir and had gone on his own, but he got on well and found lots of friends there. They did Go-karting, archery, bouldering, tree-climbing, orienteering and a visit to Blair Drummond.

John had a busy weekend too, he did his first practice expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. His first time in a tent! Not being the most active or outdoors type of boy I wondered how he would get on. But he managed not too badly, although I don't think he is a convert to the big outdoors!!

Finished!

This is my last page for Scrap Your Day project - I finished a project!!! I have taken photos on or around the 25th of each month for the past year. This project did get more difficult as the months progressed and nothing very different seemed to happen each month. I have decided that my garden is really boring as I have taken a photo of it each month and not much seems to change!
I am glad it is finished, now perhaps I should start on some other projects I have started and not yet finished!

Christ is Risen!

He is Risen Indeed!
Happy Easter to you all.
At Church today, as part of our 125th Anniversary celebrations we had helium filled balloons tied to the end of each pew, then after the service we went outside and let them go! It was a lovely sight to see them all going up into the air.

After lunch we went into the garden to roll our eggs! It seemed a bit strange this year without Andrew. He is at his first Scripture Union camp at Lendrick Muir this week. I do hope he is enjoying it.

Gordon is on holiday this week, but we are not actually going away anywhere, just resting at home. We have a list of DVDs that we want to try and watch.

A start

Well we made a start on the garden today. Gordon cut the back grass and I started cutting back some bushes and trees, they seem to grow so quickly. We have a big garden but it is full of trees and bushes which are all overgrown, so we are trying to tame it a bit. At least we have made a start.

I have also knitted another dishcloth, this time with some Peaches & Creme cotton.

I have also signed up to Facebook and Ravelry, which is a knitting/crochet forum. I will have to be quite strict with myself and not spend all day on the computer, as I think I could get rather addicted!!
